Academic Manager

The Academic Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective management of students' assignments, attendance, retention, curriculum, and exams. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to achieve academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assignments Management:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the submission, evaluation, and feedback of student assignments.
  • Monitor the timely submission and grading of assignments.
  • Provide support and resources to faculty and students to ensure high-quality assignment completion.

Attendance Monitoring:

  • Implement and maintain an efficient system for tracking student attendance.
  • Analyze attendance data to identify trends and areas of concern.
  • Work with faculty and students to address attendance issues and promote regular attendance.

Student Retention:

  • Develop and execute retention strategies to enhance student satisfaction and reduce dropout rates.
  • Monitor student progress and identify at-risk students.
  • Collaborate with support services to provide academic and personal support to students.

Curriculum Management:

  • Ensure the curriculum is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with academic standards and industry requirements.
  • Work with faculty to develop and review course content, syllabi, and instructional materials.
  • Coordinate curriculum changes and updates with relevant academic committees.

Examinations Oversight:

  • Plan and organize examination schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of the examination process.
  • Oversee the grading and reporting of exam results.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze data related to assignments, attendance, retention, curriculum, and exams.
  • Prepare regular reports for the Director of Education and other stakeholders.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, students, and administrative staff.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration to support academic goals.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development activities.

Policy Implementation:

  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement academic policies and procedures as needed.
  • Provide training and support to faculty and staff on academic policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an academic management or related role.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of educational policies, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment:

The Academic Manager will work in an office setting within an educational institution. The role may require occasional evening or weekend hours to support academic activities and events.
