We are hiring a full-time, Health and Social Care (HSC) Lecturer. As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will join a progressive and successful Health and Social Care department.
Key Responsibilities:
As a post-holder, you will be reporting to the Department Manager/ Head, and ultimately to the Dean of Academics, for the following:
The HSC Lecturer, role involves teaching various modules, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance.
Develop and update course materials and lecture notes.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
Providing high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and internal moderation across a range of Health and Social Care courses and partnership delivery.
Course leading a programme and / or programmes of study in Health and Social Care, ensuring high-levels of achievement and success.
Contributing to the delivery, tracking, and monitoring of modules’ performance amongst cohorts of students undertaking Health and Social Care courses.
Tutoring students, giving appropriate support to enable students to achieve their academic and internship/ placement targets.
Interviewing and giving initial advice and guidance to potential students.
Assisting students in their progression to either Higher Education and / or employment.
Contributing to the development and continual improvement of courses, co-ordinating effectively with both staff and students.
Requirements:
Master degree with 5 years’ experience OR PHD degree with 2 years’ experience OR any relevant foreign qualification.
Must have some experience in curriculum development for TNE qualifications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with prospective students, families, and internal stakeholders.
Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on providing a positive and supportive experience for prospective students.
Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using admission management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of the education sector, admission procedures, and enrollment processes is desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Student Assessment:
Design and grade assessments, assignments, and exams in a timely manner.
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic development.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
