Lecturer - Health and Social Care (HSC)

We are hiring a full-time, Health and Social Care (HSC) Lecturer. As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will join a progressive and successful Health and Social Care department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a post-holder, you will be reporting to the Department Manager/ Head, and ultimately to the Dean of Academics, for the following:

  • The HSC Lecturer, role involves teaching various modules, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance.

  • Develop and update course materials and lecture notes.

  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Providing high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and internal moderation across a range of Health and Social Care courses and partnership delivery.

  • Course leading a programme and / or programmes of study in Health and Social Care, ensuring high-levels of achievement and success.

  • Contributing to the delivery, tracking, and monitoring of modules’ performance amongst cohorts of students undertaking Health and Social Care courses.

  • Tutoring students, giving appropriate support to enable students to achieve their academic and internship/ placement targets.

  • Interviewing and giving initial advice and guidance to potential students.

  • Assisting students in their progression to either Higher Education and / or employment.

  • Contributing to the development and continual improvement of courses, co-ordinating effectively with both staff and students.


Requirements:

  • Master degree with 5 years’ experience OR PHD degree with 2 years’ experience OR any relevant foreign qualification.

  • Must have some experience in curriculum development for TNE qualifications.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with prospective students, families, and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on providing a positive and supportive experience for prospective students.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in using admission management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of the education sector, admission procedures, and enrollment processes is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment


Student Assessment:

  • Design and grade assessments, assignments, and exams in a timely manner.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic development.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
