We are seeking a dedicated and experienced lecturer to join our team in delivering high-quality legal education at OTHM levels 3 to 7 for both bachelor's and master's programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching law, a deep understanding of legal principles, and a commitment to fostering student learning and success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops in various areas of law, including but not limited to contract law, criminal law, constitutional law, and international law.
- Design and implement effective assessment methods to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
- Facilitate discussions, debates, and case studies to promote critical thinking and application of legal concepts.
- Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development, providing guidance on career paths and further education opportunities.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and program enhancement initiatives in collaboration with the academic team.
- Stay updated on developments in the field of law, legal education, and pedagogical practices to continuously improve teaching methods and course content.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Law or a related field from a recognized institution. A Ph.D. in Law or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level, preferably in law or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various areas of law, demonstrated through academic achievements, research publications, or professional experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of students.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equity in the classroom environment.
- Proficiency in educational technology and learning management systems for delivering online and blended learning experiences is desirable.
